This convenient pocket-sized tool is capable of testing single-mode, multimode UPC, and APC patch cords and ports using a "non-contact" detector. The FIBERLERT-125 is designed to detect optical power in the range of 850 nm to 1625 nm, covering both single-mode and multimode fiber wavelengths in the near-infrared range.

There is no need to spend time configuring the device or trying to interpret complex results – the presence of an optical signal is clearly indicated by the light and sound alerts. The "non-contact" detector minimizes the risk of damaging fiber optics, making it suitable for use with ports and patch cords, as well as SM, MM, UPC, and APC connections.
